About the position

The Business System Analyst role at Momento USA involves collaborating with business teams and technology groups to assess business needs and transform them into scalable applications. The position requires extensive experience in the financial industry, particularly with BlackRock Aladdin, and focuses on building and supporting applications related to trading, performance attribution, and risk analytics. The analyst will also conduct project-related tests, develop subject matter expertise, and provide ongoing support for production and test issues.

Responsibilities

  • Build new and existing applications in preparation for a launch of new business.
  • Align with business teams and AMFMCT teams to assess business needs and transform them into scalable applications.
  • Work closely with quantitative modeling team and portfolio managers.
  • Collaborate with business groups to define solutions to business needs, including eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
  • Partner with the Technology team to analyze and document systems/report design requirements.
  • Conduct project-related tests, including developing detailed test plans and evaluating results.
  • Develop subject matter expertise on trading, performance/attribution, and risk analytics platforms.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for production and test issues, performing root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions.
  • Conduct deep analytical dives on data and communicate findings and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate (B.S.) degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or Information System is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8+ years' experience in the Financial Industry.
  • Experience with BlackRock Aladdin is required.
  • At least 5 years of ALM (Asset and Liability Management) experience with deep knowledge of performance, risk, and attribution.
  • In-depth understanding of various Fixed Income instruments and their analytics, characteristics, and benchmarks.
  • Proficient in data manipulation and writing SQL queries.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and connect the dots, as well as demonstrate drive, resourcefulness, and personal ownership of assignments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience with Bloomberg data is a big plus.
  • Previous experience with the reinsurance industry is a huge plus.
  • Hands-on experience with any investment/trading system or performance attribution system is a plus.
  • Ability to manage small teams or projects is highly desirable.
