About the position

The Business Systems Analyst 3 - Revenue Integrity at UCI Health plays a crucial role in enhancing automation within the department while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. This position involves implementing, modifying, and troubleshooting systems and applications related to the receivables cycle, providing production support, and facilitating accurate data exchange among various departments and systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement, modify, and troubleshoot specified systems or applications related to the receivables cycle.
• Provide production support to staff and PFS Leadership.
• Analyze data exchange between Registration, Patient Financial Services, Patient Access Services, and Revenue Audit.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA requirements in the claims arena.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend new processes as needed.

Requirements

• Understanding of billing related EDI formats and requirements.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare automated systems in a Business Office environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office products including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to summarize key information clearly.
• Knowledge to map specifications for EDI using ANSI-837.
• Familiarity with rules and regulations governing various payers.
• Detailed knowledge of registration, billing, and collections processes.

Nice-to-haves

• Specific knowledge of Invision Patient Accounting System.
• Project management experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Computer Sciences.
