About the position

The Business Systems Analyst for Directory Services at M&T Bank is responsible for coordinating with application owners and other business systems personnel to implement application changes that meet customer needs. This role involves system testing, writing and executing test cases, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for flexibility in work location while promoting collaboration within the team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare functional specifications for assigned projects, test plans, test cases, and execute test cases under guidance.
• Assist in research analysis to ensure functional design accuracy for assigned projects.
• Meet with business clients to discuss application changes related to enterprise-wide initiatives or compliance requirements.
• Develop and write routine specifications for applications associated with basic to moderately complex projects, achieving client agreement and signoff.
• Review business requirements with the Technology team to ensure understanding of project requirements.
• Prepare test plans and scripts based on functional specifications.
• Manage and execute test cases to verify changes/enhancements work as expected.
• Assist in integrated testing to identify application issues prior to production changes.
• Monitor functional specifications and change requests to ensure project scope and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in resolving issues from testing or implementation to ensure expected performance.
• Conduct post-implementation follow-up to gather feedback and resolve issues from application changes.

Requirements

• Combined minimum of 3 years' higher education and/or operational/business analytics experience.
• Proficiency with personal computers and word processing applications.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
