About the position

The Business Systems Analyst for Fraud at T-Mobile USA, Inc. plays a crucial role in the Fraud Management Technology team by gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, use cases, and user stories. This position involves end-to-end initiative management, including strategy engagement, requirements writing, results testing, defect management, and enhancement identification. The analyst will coordinate between Fraud Management and IT to ensure successful delivery of technology initiatives that align with Fraud Management goals, facilitating communication between business units to meet organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and document business requirements, user stories, and use cases to support Fraud initiatives.
  • Manage initiatives using the internal fraud initiative process framework.
  • Oversee a portfolio of projects to ensure timelines are met.
  • Create and maintain Change Request (CR) documentation for assigned initiatives.
  • Review initiative documents to analyze fraud risk and ensure requirements are met.
  • Assist in project management of assigned initiatives.
  • Ensure team and Fraud Management are aware of potential impacts and proactively assess for future impact.
  • Lead and document the requirement gathering process.
  • Write clear and concise business requirements.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple initiatives and tight deadlines.
  • Coordinate needs and functionality between cross-functional teams within the Enterprise.
  • Host meetings and document all action items.
  • Work within Fraud Management and IT timelines and hold participating teams accountable.
  • Identify and document potential process improvements.
  • Determine project roadblocks and solve issues independently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably in a quantitative field).
  • 3+ years of project management or coordination experience.
  • 3+ years of requirements gathering and writing experience.
  • 3+ years of use case and test case development and execution experience.
  • 2+ years of systems analysis and strategic business information systems experience.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills including technical writing.
  • Analytical and inquisitive thinking skills with the ability to identify potential problems.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to broker consensus between partners with conflicting needs.
  • Strong PC, technical, and desktop publishing skills (Word, Power Point, Outlook, Excel, Visio, etc.).
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
