About the position

As a Business Systems Analyst at Allianz Life, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely execution of operational processes. Your expertise in product knowledge, modeling, programming, and business systems will be essential in creating solutions that support our mission of securing the future for our customers. You will collaborate with various technical areas, including actuarial, IT, QA, compliance, and legal, to design and implement testing strategies for new products, thereby mitigating future risks. Reporting to the Operations Technical Manager, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing business systems and models that are vital for the successful completion of operational responsibilities. This role requires a deep understanding of product design, administrative systems, and regulatory requirements. In this position, you will investigate root causes of operational systems issues and develop effective solutions. You will also assist in the training and development of team members, serving as a peer reviewer for their work. Participation in important and special projects will be a key aspect of your role, along with the documentation of processes, analyses performed, and any business systems that you build or modify. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations, ensuring that we continue to meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and enhance business systems and models essential to operational responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with IT and QA to design and implement testing strategies for new and existing products.
  • Investigate root causes of operational systems issues and develop solutions.
  • Assist with training and development of team members and serve as a peer reviewer.
  • Participate in important projects and special projects as assigned.
  • Document processes, analyses performed, and business systems built or modified.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant technical or business experience.
  • Four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; or specialized training or equivalent work experience.
