Business Systems Analyst I (Hybrid)

About the position

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office. We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst I to join our growing Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Systems team at First Citizens Bank. This role provides essential support for two of our financial business systems, Oracle Hyperion Essbase and Oracle EPM Cloud. In this role, you will assist with system administration, user support, documentation, and enhancements. Responsibilities

• Partner with finance and accounting teams to streamline budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
• Gather and document business requirements for system improvements and new features.
• Manage support mailboxes, respond to user inquiries, and troubleshoot system issues.
• Maintain system and end-user documentation to support best practices and training efforts.
• Assist with audit requests and ensure system controls align with company policies.
• Help create and deliver user training materials and sessions.
• Work closely with business users, Finance, and IT teams to support ongoing system operations.
• Assist in the design, configuration, and administration of Oracle EPM Cloud applications (Planning, PCMS, Narrative Reporting and EDMCS) and Hyperion Essbase.
• Process and track user access requests, ensuring compliance with security policies.
• Support system enhancements, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Sources, compiles, and interprets data.
• Performs basic analysis for accuracy and efficiencies, effectively communicates analysis output.
• Provides daily technical support for systems by responding to inquiries, ensuring processes run smoothly, and working to continuously improve the end-user experience.
• Assists in implementing recommended modifications and enhancements.
• Determines system requirements and communicates them through the use of specifications, reports, project plans, or other forms of documentation.
• Ensures compliance through monitoring and analysis.
• Produces reports based on data analysis, user input, and system testing.
• Assists in the identification of potential issues or areas of improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of experience in System Support, or Analytics, or Operations Support
• OR High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in System Support, or Analytics, or Operations Support

Nice-to-haves

• 1+ years of experience in business systems, finance, IT or a related field.
• Familiarity with Oracle EPM Cloud and Hyperion Essbase is a plus.
• Basic understanding of financial systems and processes.
• Understanding of finance and accounting principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
