About the position

The Business Systems Analyst I plays a crucial role in supporting the ongoing delivery of benefits administration services to clients. This position is responsible for managing systems development, quality assurance, and operational tasks, ensuring that all client deliverables are configured accurately according to system requirements. The analyst will work closely with various teams to deliver quality results and maintain client satisfaction through effective communication and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, execute and track assigned client deliverables according to processing guides and processing calendar.
  • Work closely with Shared Services teams to deliver quality results of ancillary services.
  • Analyze and understand client requirements for implementation and ongoing changes.
  • Create, execute, and maintain detailed test plans for new system functionality testing.
  • Leverage technology to automate processes for efficient service delivery.
  • Research and resolve issues with basic system configuration support.
  • Analyze cases and implement solutions to reduce ongoing issues.
  • Document processing guides and technical documentation clearly.
  • Contribute to client satisfaction through quality work and timely responses.
  • Support timely provision migrations for aligned clients.
  • Accurately record time to ensure proper project scope and resource allocation.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings with clients and vendors.

Requirements

  • Intermediate level skills in MS Excel, Critical Thinking, and Attention to Detail.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL proficiency.
  • Experience with Confluence, CRM, JIRA, MS SQL, and MS Excel.
  • Strong business acumen and data analytics skills.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and technical documentation.
  • Understanding of testing methodology and test planning.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Domain experience in health insurance and/or benefits administration.
  • Experience with case or ticket management systems such as CRM or Atlassian JIRA.
