About the position

The Business Systems Analyst (IAM) position at Varo Bank is a critical role within the Information Technology team, focusing on the identity and access management (IAM) framework. This role is responsible for developing, certifying, and maintaining IAM functions to support business and information security requirements. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance IAM processes and ensure compliance with regulatory expectations, ultimately contributing to Varo's mission of redefining banking for its customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update the required IAM governance and certification program to support business and information security requirements.
• Assess current IAM state and develop a future state IAM maturity model covering digital identities and scaling for a growing customer base.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, recommend, and test IAM, PAM, and CASB technologies and processes.
• Ensure strong authentication, authorization, and role-based access controls (RBAC) are implemented in applications and products.
• Utilize IAM and PAM solutions to develop reporting metrics and dashboards for identity and access governance certification.
• Assist the Sr. Manager of Information Technology in managing other IT program areas and functions, including Helpdesk support.
• Support data governance and data classification programs.
• Assist with office-related IT tasks in a hybrid working environment.

Requirements

• 7 - 10 years of information technology experience with specialization in IAM.
• Experience working in a financial institution, fintech company, or provider to the financial services sector is preferred.
• Expert knowledge of IAM framework and Risk Management Framework.
• Strong experience working with Okta, specifically Okta Identity Governance, and knowledge of creating and maintaining Okta Workflows.
• B.S. in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or Information Systems related majors.
• Security certifications such as CISSP-ISSMP, CISM, CGEIT, CCSP, or other comparable IAM certifications are a plus.
• Excellent knowledge and experience in IAM, PAM, RBAC, CASB, Single Sign-On, Multi-Factor Authentication, and AWS IAM.
• Extensive experience working with regulatory banking examiners to demonstrate IAM governance maturity.
• Experience reporting and presenting to senior management and the Board on IAM governance and certification efforts.
