About the position

The Business Systems Analyst II (BSA) is responsible for overseeing the technical execution of multiple projects across various IT areas, including application development, support, systems administration, and business intelligence. This role involves gathering and documenting customer requirements, coordinating technical tasks, and ensuring successful project execution in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong IT knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to adapt to frequent changes while contributing to the organization's success.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex analysis and design of business processes and systems with a focus on technology implementation and integration.
  • Coordinate and oversee technical tasks during the execution phase of projects.
  • Gather and document customer requirements by interviewing and understanding customer needs.
  • Identify gaps and provide technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications.
  • Scale new and current systems, processes, and procedures in a cost-effective manner.
  • Configure system settings and options; plan and execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing to meet business requirements.
  • Navigate a fast and dynamic environment where changes are frequent, resulting in many new projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with at least 2 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and processes.
  • Understanding of Order to Cash process flows.
  • Strong understanding of IT practices and terminology.
  • Innovative and capable technologist with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze business systems and/or processes to identify user needs, document requirements, and address process improvements.
  • Basic experience with writing SQL and understanding the basics of table querying for documenting data requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to obtain a Scrum Master certification.
  • Strong knowledge of requirements documentation tools such as Visio, Word, Excel, Jira, and/or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with data mapping and documentation of system integration metadata and touchpoints necessary for implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning and execution using tools such as MS Project.
  • Understanding of analysis and software development lifecycle methodologies.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, and influencing skills.
