About the position

The Business Systems Analyst II (BSA) is responsible for overseeing the technical execution of multiple projects in various IT areas, including application development, support, systems administration, and business intelligence. This role involves gathering and documenting customer requirements, coordinating technical tasks, and providing expertise in business requirements for system specifications. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong communication skills and a solid understanding of IT practices to drive project success.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex analysis and design of business processes and systems with a focus on technology implementation and integration.
  • Coordinate and oversee technical tasks during the execution phase of projects.
  • Gather and document customer requirements by interviewing and understanding customer needs.
  • Identify gaps and provide technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications.
  • Scale new and current systems, processes, and procedures in a cost-effective manner.
  • Configure system settings and options; plan and execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing to meet business requirements.
  • Navigate a fast and dynamic environment where changes are frequent, resulting in many new projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and processes.
  • Understanding of Order to Cash process flows.
  • Strong understanding of IT practices and terminology.
  • Ability to analyze business systems and/or processes to identify user needs and document requirements.
  • Basic experience with writing SQL and understanding table querying.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to obtain a Scrum Master certification.
  • Strong knowledge of requirements documentation tools such as Visio, Word, Excel, Jira, and/or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with data mapping and documentation of system integration metadata.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning and execution using tools such as MS Project.
  • Understanding of analysis and software development lifecycle methodologies.
