The Business Systems Analyst IV at MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc. serves as a crucial liaison between end-users and the Technology team, playing a pivotal role in enhancing the value of healthcare through innovative solutions. This position is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating complex business systems and user needs, ensuring that the systems align with overall business strategies. The analyst will write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and the steps required to develop or modify computer programs, thereby facilitating effective communication between technical teams and business stakeholders. In this role, the Business Systems Analyst will conduct interviews with end-users and customers to define business requirements for complex software modifications and enhancements. They will collaborate with IT counterparts to translate these business requirements into functional specifications, coordinating and responding to requests for changes from original specifications. The analyst will facilitate design sessions with both business and technical resources to ensure that the solutions meet the needs of the business, consulting with technical teams on design and database issues as necessary. The position also involves defining and documenting software specifications, including system requirements, flow charts, screen and report mock-ups, and business rules for new products, as well as maintaining documentation for existing products. The analyst will drive and lead projects to completion for assigned client and vendor projects, working closely with account teams and clients to develop project plans, prioritize tasks, and provide regular status updates on project progress to management and stakeholders. Additionally, the Business Systems Analyst will perform user acceptance testing on software before it is released to the production environment, ensuring that projects are completed on time, accurate to defined specifications, and within budget. They will also work with the business application manager to prioritize and manage multiple complex software change requests throughout the entire software development life cycle, and collaborate with process analysts to research and resolve operational issues related to the products team utilizes. This role requires excellent customer service skills and interpersonal communication skills, as it involves direct interaction with both internal and external clients.
