About the position

Huntington Bank is seeking a Lead Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join our Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) team, which is dedicated to ensuring the quality of data across the enterprise. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with various business and technology teams to understand their control needs in relation to the Data Integration Standard. Your primary responsibility will be to support the vendor in creating comprehensive documentation for the controls that will be implemented. The key technologies utilized in this role include Snowflake, DataStage, Python/PySpark, Mainframe, Infogix, and Data360. If you view data as a strategic asset and are passionate about promoting the value of quality data and insights, this position is tailored for you. This is a hybrid role, requiring in-office presence at least three days a week. As a Lead BSA, you will serve as a liaison and knowledge source for stakeholders, product owners, and team members. You will prioritize and sequence the scope for the vendor Statement of Work (SOW) while coordinating efforts across application teams. Additionally, you will work closely with the Platform Administration team and impacted application teams to facilitate control builds, warranty support, and the transition from build to run. Your role will also involve creating standards and best practices for control documentation, ensuring compliance, and reviewing documentation for completeness and accuracy. You will participate in identifying, quantifying, and mitigating project risks and issues, ensuring that the project remains on track and meets its objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison and knowledge source with stakeholders, product owners, and team members.
  • Prioritize and sequence scope for the vendor Statement of Work (SOW), coordinating across application teams.
  • Coordinate with the Platform Administration team and impacted application teams for control build, warranty support, and build to run transition.
  • Create standards and best practices for control documentation.
  • Communicate standards and ensure compliance across teams.
  • Review documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Participate in the identification, quantification, and mitigation of project risks and issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in a Data Warehouse environment.
  • 1+ years of experience using SQL to create ad-hoc queries and analyze data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of enterprise data warehousing best practices and standards.
  • Strong data mapping experience creating source to target mappings.
  • Detail-oriented and highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience leading other BSAs on a project team.
  • Experience in the financial services (banking) industry.
  • Experience with data governance and data management approaches, including data quality.
  • Experience with building data integrity controls using custom build or vendor packages (Infogix, Data360, etc).
  • Experience in data modeling activities in Erwin or other modeling tools.
