About the position

The Business Systems Analyst - PLM role at Capgemini involves collaborating with business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical specifications for the company's global PLM platforms. The position requires a strong understanding of PLM systems, particularly Teamcenter and SolidWorks, and involves responsibilities such as conducting client workshops, managing BOMs, and ensuring successful project delivery through effective communication and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Converting business needs into technical delivery narratives by providing mock-ups and descriptions of necessary custom objects/fields.
  • Running in-person client workshops to understand and define technical requirements.
  • Managing BOM (EBOM, MBOM, SBOM) within Teamcenter and integration with other enterprise systems.
  • Performing PLM Teamcenter project requirements definition, documentation, and validation through to production releases.
  • Collaborating with technology counterparts and development resources to create and validate business requirements and project specification documents.
  • Collecting, organizing, and publishing monthly PLM release statuses.
  • Interacting with Director and VP level personnel for PLM overview and COE Roadmap.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a PLM Business Systems Analyst role.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, MIS, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of previous Teamcenter and SolidWorks experience as a BSA.
  • Experience with System Integration testing and API testing.
  • In-depth understanding of PLM Teamcenter/SolidWorks capabilities and constraints.
  • Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multi-functional work teams towards task completion.
  • Proven effective analytical skills.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with additional PLM tools and technologies.
