About the position

As a Business Systems Analyst/Product Analyst Intern for Summer 2025 at Koch Industries, you will be part of a dynamic team within the Information Technology department. This internship is designed to provide you with hands-on experience in a real-world setting, allowing you to contribute to meaningful projects that impact the organization. The internship will last for 12 weeks, running from late May to early August 2025, and is an excellent opportunity for you to kickstart your career in the IT field. In this role, you will partner with Product Owners and various IT teams to configure technology that enhances work processes. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of product releases and deliverables by executing risk mitigation strategies. This includes creating test automation scripts, executing test cases, and performing regression testing. You will also coordinate with business partners to conduct user acceptance testing, ensuring that the technology meets the needs of the users. Your responsibilities will extend to capturing, analyzing, and documenting functional requirements, which will be provided to other IT capabilities. You will play a crucial role in coordinating the execution of project deliverables by other IT teams, helping to ensure that projects are completed on time. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to recommend enhancements to products to optimize work processes and will be expected to quickly learn new systems and products based on business needs. Working collaboratively with your team, you will execute project deliverables and contribute to the overall success of the technology roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Owners and different IT teams to configure technology that enables work processes.
  • Ensure quality of product releases and deliverables through execution of risk mitigation strategies, including creation of test automation scripts, creation and execution of test cases, and regression testing.
  • Coordinate with business partners to conduct user acceptance testing.
  • Capture, analyze, and document functional requirements to provide to other IT capabilities.
  • Coordinate the execution of project deliverables by other IT capabilities to help ensure projects are delivered on time.
  • Recommend enhancements of products to optimize work processes.
  • Quickly learn new systems and products based on business needs.
  • Work on a team to execute project deliverables.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a degree or certificate program related to Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related IT field.
  • Eligible for full-time employment by August 2026.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a Visa transfer or Visa sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Initiative, natural curiosity, strong communication skills, and an aptitude for fast-paced learning.
  • Experience in an IT related field.
