As a Business Systems Analyst, you will develop a robust understanding and application of current and historical business processes, system interfaces, data access, and processes to provide the most favorable experience for students and employees. You will diagnose and troubleshoot system interface and data integration issues for current processes and programs, and recommend business process changes to increase efficiency and create cost-saving outcomes. Your role will involve overseeing and ensuring changes to business processes are implemented correctly and align with strategic direction. You will conduct research into applicable systems and possible alternatives to provide more informed recommendations to business or IT related changes. Representing system architecture with leadership, employees, and external stakeholders on behalf of department users will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will plan and present proposals for system upgrades and new system architectures that support and deliver desired outcomes. As a subject matter expert in database management, system architecture, Excel, higher education systems, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems, you will develop, train, and mentor department leaders and employees regarding the interpretation of data trends. Additionally, you will perform quality control audits for data integrity, system process administration, and provide solutions to enhance user navigation of programs and processes. Building and maintaining strong relationships with multiple and diverse team members such as technology, project management, and other internal and external stakeholders will be essential. You will gather project requirements from stakeholders across multiple departments and lead configuration-based changes that ensure business processes and procedures are upheld. Managing multiple projects consecutively while applying the correct project management techniques where appropriate (agile, waterfall) will be part of your daily tasks. You will create and maintain project documentation, ensuring visibility by all stakeholders, and oversee the system interface between key department programs and software.
