About the position

Neaton Auto Products Manufacturing is seeking a dynamic and creative Business Systems Analyst/Scrum Master to join our team in Eaton, OH. This role is ideal for a professional who excels in problem-solving, has experience in Agile methodologies, and thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. As a Business Systems Analyst/Scrum Master, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and support of internal warehouse applications, interfacing with our QAD ERP system, and guiding the team through Agile practices to ensure the successful delivery of projects. In this position, you will serve as a dedicated Scrum Master, supporting a self-organizing, self-managing team in achieving their daily, iteration, and release goals. You will apply, implement, and enforce Scrum principles and practices, protecting the team from outside influences. Mentoring the team will be a key aspect of your role, as you facilitate a dynamic environment to maximize performance and continuously improve Agile practices. You will conduct daily stand-up meetings, planning and review sessions, prioritize tasks, and mitigate roadblocks. Additionally, you will execute the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and actively participate in Agile methodologies, leveraging Azure DevOps. Staying updated with the latest developments in related technologies and sharing knowledge with team members will also be part of your responsibilities. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will interface with clients to define user requirements and discuss issues, questions, and project status. Understanding system capabilities and how they can meet the client's business objectives will be essential. You will analyze user requirements to identify implicit and ambiguous needs, compose technical documentation detailing the requirements in a clear and well-organized manner, and translate user requirements into system requirements while interfacing with the software development team. Participation in application validation to ensure that client's requirements are met, as well as performing Business Process Modeling and Business Process Reengineering, will also be part of your duties.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in a software development environment, with significant experience managing small to medium requirement gathering initiatives.
  • Five or more years of experience with .NET, SQL, and VB.net, preferably in Visual Studio environments.
  • Strong understanding of system development life cycle and Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Experience leveraging Azure DevOps for agile project management and version control.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database query optimization.
  • Understanding of designing, implementing, and managing databases on Azure cloud services.
  • Knowledge of hardware interface such as PLC, manufacturing application development, and automotive industry solutions.
  • Experience with DevOps or DevSecOps and the use of Microsoft Azure DevOps tool is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, presentation, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior-level managers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to implement improvements to internal team processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with DevOps or DevSecOps and the use of Microsoft Azure DevOps tool is highly preferred.
