About the position

The Senior Business Systems Analyst at GDIT plays a crucial role in transforming technology into opportunities for the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). This position involves formulating and defining systems scope and objectives based on user needs, analyzing business requirements, and guiding less experienced analysts. The role requires a high level of technical expertise in business systems analysis and documentation, ensuring that systems meet both current and future business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and define systems scope and objectives based on user needs and business requirements.
  • Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering equipment capacity and limitations.
  • Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and translate them into system specifications.
  • Guide and advise less experienced Business Systems Analysts.
  • Prepare and maintain systems, programming, and operations documentation, including user manuals.
  • Maintain a current internal documentation library and provide special documentation services as required.
  • Act as project leader for large jobs when necessary.
  • Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents including software and systems engineering documentation.
  • Write and edit technical documentation for hardware and software installations and configurations.
  • Create and update templates for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other technical publications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience or Master's Degree with 10 years of experience.
  • 10+ years of related experience in business systems analysis.
  • Ability to perform a variety of analytical tasks related to design and implementation.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Experienced in creating network diagrams.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
  • Clearance Level: TS/SCI.
  • Required Certification: DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment Certification.
