About the position

FIS Management Services, LLC is seeking experienced Business Systems Analyst Seniors to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for creating requirements for new capabilities or enhancements to existing capabilities through thorough research and fact-finding, combined with a deep understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. You will devise or modify procedures and recommend alternative solutions to complex problems, taking into account computer equipment, available technology, industry requirements, capacity and limitations, operation time, and the desired results. Your responsibilities will also include conducting a variety of tests such as system, integration, readiness, regression, and acceptance tests to ensure that changes made by programmers are correct and do not adversely impact pre-existing capabilities. You will be tasked with training internal employees or external clients on changes, new systems, or new procedures, which may involve one-on-one or classroom training depending on the audience size or preference. Additionally, you will mentor, guide, and advise less experienced Business Systems Analysts, demonstrating strong business acumen skills. A key aspect of this position involves working with Mainframe Migration to Linux/UNIX Omni, assisting clients in migrating FIS NEXTGEN OmniPlus Products. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create requirements for new capabilities or enhancements to existing capabilities through research and fact-finding.
  • Devise or modify procedures and recommend alternative solutions to complex problems.
  • Conduct system, integration, readiness, regression, and acceptance tests to ensure changes are correct and do not adversely impact existing capabilities.
  • Train internal employees or external clients on changes, new systems, or new procedures.
  • Mentor, guide, and advise less experienced Business Systems Analysts.
  • Work with Mainframe Migration to Linux/UNIX Omni to assist clients in migrating FIS NEXTGEN OmniPlus Products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Applied Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Six (6) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • Experience performing data feeds and working in a DB2 environment, including scans.
  • Utilization of Agile Method of Kanban to build analysis stories through the cycle to completion.
  • Designing processes that support Product scope through the use of OmniScript.
  • Developing OmniScript and Unix Shell Scripts to extract reports for Business teams.
  • Experience in developing and designing solutions for recordkeeping of retirement plans.
  • Ability to devise and/or modify procedures and recommend alternative solutions to complex problems.
  • Experience utilizing tools such as ChangeMan, Infopac, and Endevor for analysis and deployment of code base to production.
  • Proficiency in programming languages COBOL and MicroFocus COBOL and databases including DB2, ISAM, VSAM.
