About the position

The Business Systems Analyst - Senior is a pivotal role within the ISS Department, designed for highly skilled Business Analysts who are looking to advance their careers without taking on direct supervisory responsibilities. This position is focused on leading and participating in significant projects that have a substantial impact on the organization. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for providing advanced technical and consultative support to team members, ensuring that the assigned business unit or application(s) are effectively managed and optimized. In this role, the analyst will maintain an in-depth knowledge of applications, staying current with technical enhancements, methodologies, and trends relevant to their assigned systems. They will analyze existing systems and procedures, identifying areas for technical or procedural improvements, and recommending best practices to optimize the use of application systems. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will also develop operational procedures for products, services, and systems, ensuring that all processes meet regulatory requirements. Additionally, the analyst will be tasked with generating special or ad hoc reports, providing technical support to business units, customers, management, and other users. Acting as a liaison between software vendors and business units, or between users and other corporate areas, the Senior Business Systems Analyst will play a crucial role in facilitating communication and ensuring that project goals are met. Given the specialized nature of this position, it is expected that the number of employees assigned to this role will be minimal, allowing for focused expertise and support.

Responsibilities

• Leads assigned projects and provides advanced technical and consultative support to team members.
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of applications and stays current with technical enhancements, methodologies, and trends.
• Analyzes existing systems or procedures and identifies technical or procedural improvements.
• Recommends business practices to optimize the use of application systems.
• Develops operational procedures for products, services, and systems.
• Designs processes to meet regulatory requirements.
• Develops and generates special or ad hoc reports.
• Provides technical support to business units, customers, management, and other users.
• Serves as a liaison between software vendors and business units, or between users and other corporate areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 5+ years of Business Systems Analyst experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Project planning and management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge and/or experience in waterfall and agile methodologies.
• Experience in a Business Analyst role performing the listed responsibilities, including experience with eliciting and documenting functional requirements and use cases.
• Proficiency in producing process flows using Visio.
• Demonstrable technical skills and ability to learn technology quickly.
• Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
• Experience facilitating group sessions to gather requirements with the ability to ask relevant questions to drill into the details.
• Experience tracking and driving deliverables to completion.
