About the position

The Business Systems Analyst at Options for Learning serves as a subject-matter expert for the organization's information systems, ensuring their optimal function through installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrades. This role requires effective communication and collaboration within a small team, supporting the organization's mission and strategic goals in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Translating business objectives and providing technical support, troubleshooting, guidance, training, and written technical requirements to system users.
  • Collaborating with the executive leadership team, as well as Human Resources and Finance department staff to identify system improvements and enhancements.
  • Recommending, developing, and managing implementation solutions.
  • Managing permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for system users.
  • Programming custom functions and documentation, such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports.
  • Compiling or assisting with the acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs for senior leadership, as well as Human Resources and Finance department staff.
  • Serving as the lead representative and liaison between the Human Resources, Finance, and Information Technology departments, as well as external vendors and other stakeholders for design and implementation projects.
  • Ensuring adherence to organization policies and system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
  • Supporting critical system maintenance and operational tasks within the systems.
  • Maintaining knowledge of trends and developments in information system technology.
  • Working effectively with other team members.
  • Actively participating in the annual in-service training.
  • Abiding by all of Options for Learning's policies and procedures.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business administration, or a related field.
  • Three years of related experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical support skills.
  • Ability to correctly and effectively communicate in written and oral English.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in system workflows, approvals set-up and implementation.
  • Experience with NetSuite, Paylocity, Dynamics 365, or similar enterprise resource planning, HR/payroll systems, customer relationship management systems.
