As we continue to expand globally, we are seeking a talented Business Systems Analyst to join our global IT team based in Racine, WI. This role is pivotal in analyzing current business processes and making informed recommendations for improvement, leveraging industry trends and professional business and technical knowledge. The successful candidate will utilize proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to maximize the benefits of our IT system investments. The Business Systems Analyst will engage with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operational requirements, as well as systems goals. This position will lead design sessions aimed at prototyping new systems to enhance business processes, operations, and information flow. A critical aspect of this role involves reviewing and analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems, developing strategies for improvement, and establishing the scope and parameters of systems analysis to define outcome criteria. In addition to strategic planning, the analyst will be responsible for operational management, which includes preparing and delivering reports that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems across the organization. The role also involves creating system design proposals, performing cost-benefit analyses for proposed systems, and ensuring the compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems. The analyst will coordinate and conduct in-depth testing, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and provide necessary training and orientation to end users.

Responsibilities

• Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues.
• Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.
• Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
• Identify and establish scope and parameters of systems analysis in order to define outcome criteria and measure-taking actions.
• Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.
• Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
• Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems across the organization.
• Create system design proposals.
• Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
• Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
• Create systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system programmers.
• Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support.
• Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role in IT.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
• Experience with system design and development processes.
• Knowledge of software and hardware products relevant to business systems.
