About the position

The Business Systems Analyst position at VTech Electronics is responsible for reporting operational data using business intelligence tools and serving as the primary contact for Reporting Systems. This role involves standardizing reporting across various VTech operations and managing projects related to new business application system implementations, including ERP and custom business applications.

Responsibilities

• Project management of new business application system implementations (ERP, Custom Business Applications, Datawarehouse/Reporting, etc.)
• Troubleshoot and analyze business application issues related to ERP and Business Intelligence Tools
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and functional specifications
• Develop test plans and coordinate functional and user acceptance testing
• Maintain data integrity and operation of analytical and reporting systems
• Support Oracle ERP Systems and develop reports based on MicroStrategy
• Collaborate with co-workers, management, and clients in a professional manner
• Exercise sound business judgment and manage time effectively

Requirements

• 5 years of progressively responsible experience in data analytics
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Proficiency with multiple Business Analysis and Reporting systems
• Functional knowledge and experience with ERP Systems (Oracle EBS preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret procedural and scripting development languages
• Experience with leading IT projects and understanding project management methodologies (PRINCE & PMP)
• Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing experience
• Experience with MicroStrategy reporting preferred
• Solid analytical, problem identification and resolution skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree is desirable
• Experience writing and developing code in SQL (PL/SQL preferred)
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 preferred
