About the position

The Business Systems Analyst position at VTech is responsible for reporting operational data using business intelligence tools and serving as the primary contact for Reporting Systems. This role involves standardizing reporting across various VTech operations, including VTech Electronics NA and LeapFrog, and requires strong project management skills for implementing new business application systems.

Responsibilities

• Project management of new business application system implementations (ERP, Custom Business Applications, Datawarehouse/Reporting, etc.)
• Troubleshoot and analyze business application issues related to ERP and custom business applications
• Gather, analyze and document business requirements, functional specifications, and technical designs
• Develop test plans, test scripts, and coordinate functional and user acceptance testing
• Maintain data integrity and operation of analytical and reporting systems
• Support Oracle ERP Systems
• Develop and support reports based on MicroStrategy and similar tools
• Collaborate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a professional manner
• Exercise sound business judgment and manage time effectively
• Conform to all laws, regulations, policies, and VTech's Rules of Engagement
• Other duties as needed or required

Requirements

• Proficiency with multiple Business Analysis and Reporting systems
• Functional knowledge and experience with ERP Systems (Oracle EBS preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret procedural and scripting development languages
• Ability to read code in SQL (PL/SQL preferred)
• Experience with leading IT projects and understanding of project management methodologies (PRINCE & PMP)
• Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing experience
• Experience with MicroStrategy reporting preferred
• Solid analytical, problem identification and resolution skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Microsoft Office 365 preferred
• 5 years of progressively responsible experience in data analytics
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

• Master's degree is desirable
• Experience writing and developing code is a plus
• Demonstrates initiative and provides complete follow-through on responsibilities
• Experience establishing productive working relationships with business leadership teams
