The Business Systems Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting a wide range of applications utilized by Northland throughout their application lifecycle. This position encompasses various responsibilities, including contributing to design, participating in implementation, and ensuring the ongoing operation of both new and existing applications that support core business functions. The analyst will collaborate with all IT resources, both internal and external, to guarantee stable and consistent delivery and support of all application services. In addition to executing necessary tasks, the analyst will document and communicate processes from start to finish to facilitate stability and consistency within the application environment. The essential functions of this role include supporting various application platforms, which involves enhancements, installations, upgrades, and problem resolution. The analyst will perform support activities in conjunction with other IT members in infrastructure and end-user services to ensure a streamlined support experience for end users. They will work closely with stakeholders on projects to define and document a prioritized set of business outcomes and application work to achieve those outcomes while accurately representing any inherent limitations. Participation in enhancement projects for commercial, off-the-shelf applications using industry-standard methodologies is expected, along with creating documentation for requirements and testing, and communicating updates to management. Furthermore, the Business Systems Analyst will foster ongoing partnerships between key business functions and the IT organization, providing support and facilitation for innovative and experimental application work to test new ideas within bounded cost and time frames. The analyst will also collaborate with major vendors and service providers to ensure they meet the organization's needs and will raise any potential issues with management. All work must be conducted in alignment with corporate responsibility, environmental, technical, and security policies, as well as applicable standards.
