About the position
The Business Systems Analyst plays a crucial role in delivering and implementing medium-sized projects that enhance operational efficiency and service delivery within the organization. This position involves gathering and analyzing stakeholder requirements, creating comprehensive documentation, and ensuring that solutions meet the needs of the sponsoring organization. The analyst will also act as a liaison between the user community and internal IT resources, facilitating effective communication and collaboration across teams.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and implement medium-sized projects, processes, and programs that streamline operations.
- Prioritize and elaborate stakeholder requirements for solution implementation.
- Gather, analyze, and document comprehensive work products, including validation and traceability for applications.
- Reconcile conflicting requirements and abstract high-level information into detailed requirements.
- Plan and complete analysis of business problems and product/service development.
- Delegate project responsibilities and manage project work and resources.
- Ensure timely activity and productivity of technical support and resource utilization.
- Provide technical assistance in developing cost-effective systems and procedures.
- Assess system impacts and conduct gap and process analysis, including cost/benefit analysis.
- Act as a liaison between the user community and internal IT resources.
- Facilitate the creation of work breakdown structures and manage project schedules.
- Monitor project progress and report status to stakeholders and project sponsors.
- Attend and host management and project team meetings to keep teams informed and progressing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve problems and implement new solutions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in technical delivery and project management.
- Familiarity with Jira for project management.
- Comfortable creating presentations in PowerPoint.
- Experience in Agile Program Management.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in the industry preferred.
