About the position

The Business Systems Analyst position at the North Carolina Office of Recovery and Resiliency (NCORR) involves leading business and systems analysis efforts to enhance and modify the Salesforce-based system of record. The role focuses on supporting long-term recovery projects related to damage from Hurricanes Matthew and Florence, ensuring high performance and quality in project deliverables, and mentoring team members. The analyst will document business processes, facilitate project meetings, and manage communications with stakeholders to align technical designs with business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business and systems analysis efforts for enhancements to the Salesforce system.
  • Facilitate project meetings and working sessions to ensure timely deliverables.
  • Document business processes and create process maps using tools like Visio and Lucid Charts.
  • Assist in defining project schedules and scopes while balancing timely value deliveries.
  • Support the Product Owner in managing stakeholder communications and expectations.
  • Work closely with software developers to ensure technical designs meet business requirements.
  • Prepare and review project proposals, memos, and meeting minutes.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of business systems and business analysis methodologies.
  • Experience in managing complex communications for internal and external audiences.
  • Outstanding analytical skills to interpret business needs and translate them into requirements.
  • Experience in project management, including planning, directing staff, and handling change requests.
  • Working knowledge of process analysis and improvements for efficiency and cost savings.
  • Experience in making recommendations affecting business systems and stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and communicate changes to project scope and plans for complex projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical ideas clearly.
  • Skilled in creative and critical thinking for evaluating complex situations.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and sandbox testing methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with BPMN 2.0 for future state design.
  • Familiarity with data analysis techniques.
