About the position

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) plays a crucial role in enhancing system functionalities to support the National Council's mission. This position involves collaborating with product owners to translate ideas into functional requirements, ensuring quality throughout the development process, and facilitating Agile methodologies. The BSA is responsible for managing the relationship between various stakeholders and ensuring that technology initiatives align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business needs and document requirements, use cases, and implementation needs.
  • Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, test scripts and coordinate User Acceptance Testing.
  • Provide training on system functionality and create reporting output.
  • Collaborate with product owner and development team to facilitate productive sprints, system evolution and upgrades.
  • Serve as the lead contact between subject matter experts, project managers, and development teams for core business applications.
  • Align technology initiatives with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Manage open issues and system bugs with vendors and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • At least 5-7 years of experience working with IT teams as a BSA or similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent additional years of experience.
  • Experience working with complex enterprise systems, preferably Dynamics 365 CRM.
  • Experience working within Agile environments.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience working within an agile software development life cycle (SDLC) and best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail, professionalism, customer service and integrity.
  • Strong decision-making, leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in the nonprofit sector.
  • Experience using testing methodology.
  • Experience working in a transformation environment.
