About the position

The Business Systems Analyst plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions within the organization. This position focuses on assisting with product development for the Company's loan origination system (LOS) and involves collaboration with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze workflows, and ensure effective communication between business and IT departments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with product development for the Company's loan origination system (LOS).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather project requirements and documentation for technical integrations with partners.
• Analyze and document Company business workflows and system requirements.
• Create business requirements documents containing functional specifications.
• Act as the intermediary between stakeholders and the IT department to ensure clarity on project goals and requirements.
• Identify business challenges and propose effective technology solutions.
• Work with system developers and architects to create design solutions that align with business requirements.
• Oversee the LOS' integration with external data sources such as identification verification services, income verification services, and credit bureaus.
• Monitor project progress and communicate updates to partner companies and stakeholders.
• Provide regular project status reports to senior management.
• Responsible for project planning, defining scope, objectives, and deliverables in line with company best practices.
• Assist with backlog management and sprint planning.
• Define timeline, scope, change, and risk management; identify and manage project risks and issues.
• Responsible for quality assurance and User Acceptance Testing, including creating and facilitating testing to ensure systems meet specifications.
• Facilitate demonstration sessions with clients to align expectations and resolve any bugs or issues during testing.
• Support the implementation of new systems and system enhancements.
• Develop training materials and ongoing maintenance documentation for end-users.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvements to systems and processes.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• 3 years of experience in a related role performing systems analysis using project management, sprint management, and collaboration tools.
• 1 year of experience overseeing IT systems projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Confluence, Jira, and ClickUp for project management and documentation.
• Familiarity with PostMan for API testing and development.
• Experience with collaboration tools like Google Drive, Meet, Zoom, and Slack.
