About the position

The Business Systems Analyst position at Eliassen Group is an onsite role based in Stamford, CT, requiring the selected candidate to work five days a week. This role is essential for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating the operations of information technology systems. The analyst will be responsible for technical writing, which includes updating documentation both before and after project launches. A significant part of the job involves creating visual representations of use case analyses and documenting any exceptions that arise during the process. In this position, the analyst will determine user needs and requirements, recommending improvements to existing systems. Acting as the primary liaison between users and the engineering/development teams, the analyst will identify, document, report, and track system issues. This role supports the translation of business needs into formal technical requirement deliverables, ensuring that the systems align with user expectations and operational goals. Responsibilities

  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates information technology systems operations.
  • Updates documentation pre and post project launch through technical writing.
  • Creates visual flow of the use case analysis and documents exceptions.
  • Determines user needs and requirements and recommends ways to improve systems.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact between users and engineering/development staff.
  • Identifies, documents, reports, and tracks system issues.
  • Supports the process of translating business needs into formal technical requirement deliverables.

Requirements

  • Ability to create Vision Flow Charts.
  • Ability to analyze large sets of data in Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of various project management methodologies including Agile and SaFE methodologies.
  • Cable/Telecom knowledge preferred.
