About the position

The Business Systems Manager - Marketing Operations is a hands-on role responsible for overseeing the daily operations and functionality of marketing technology platforms and databases. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that marketing technology supports sales efficiency and revenue generation, requiring a blend of technical expertise and business acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day operations of core marketing technology platforms, including CRM (Salesforce) and marketing automation (Active Campaign).
  • Function as the first line of platform support to triage production problems and coordinate diagnostics and resolutions with vendors or technology teams.
  • Oversee dashboards and reports to proactively monitor the health and performance of core platforms and integrations.
  • Implement data hygiene processes, including deduplication, validation, enrichment, and regular audits of contact data.
  • Collaborate with marketing and analytics teams to ensure contact data is usable and accurate for effective targeting and reporting.
  • Facilitate user training and documentation of procedures for team members.
  • Support campaign execution, marketing automation workflow implementation, and data synchronization between ActiveCampaign and Salesforce CRM.
  • Identify and implement improvements to marketing operations workflows and evaluate platform usage for optimization.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in business systems management, marketing operations, or a related role.
  • Hands-on experience managing marketing technology platforms such as Salesforce and Active Campaign.
  • Proficiency in CRM and marketing automation administration, including user management and report generation.
  • Experience with low code integration tools (e.g., Zapier) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with telephony systems (Five 9) and contact database management.
  • Familiarity with innovative technologies or enhancements to improve marketing effectiveness.
