About the position

The Management Analyst 4 will serve as the lead for testing in the Business Systems Support area, managing system regression testing and coordinating the standardization, system quality improvement, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for DVS business systems. This position carries broad responsibility for setting testing priorities, distributing work, tracking, monitoring, and analyzing bugs, defects, and upcoming system changes. The lead will direct the writing and implementation of work procedures to meet operational needs and provide technical expertise for the agency on system testing and UAT practices. Additionally, the lead will oversee testing initiatives that affect the systems of the agency, ensuring that all testing processes align with the agency's operational goals. The incumbent will also be responsible for training and backing up dedicated testers in the division, as well as providing training for new testers on procedures and best practices. This role requires the ability to communicate effectively, presenting testing status, issues, and proposed solutions to management as required. The lead will work closely with product and systems support teams to support DVS's internal functions that are essential for meeting customer needs. This position promotes good stewardship of state resources while balancing operational efficiency, standardization, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead the testing efforts in the Business Systems Support area.
• Manage system regression testing and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Set testing priorities and distribute work among team members.
• Track, monitor, and analyze bugs, defects, and system changes.

Requirements

• Three years of professional level experience in software and/or business systems testing.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, and training team members.
• Ability to work cooperatively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience organizing and leading testing while maintaining multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to communicate clearly and present complex information to users.
• Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data for decision making.
• Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience developing and implementing policies and procedures.
• Bachelor's degree or higher may substitute for one year of experience.
