About the position

The Business Tax Accountant at Intuit is responsible for providing expert guidance and tax preparation services to customers, particularly focusing on business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. This role involves utilizing advanced communication tools to interact with clients, ensuring they receive high-quality service and support throughout the tax preparation process. The position also contributes to the development of TurboTax Live Business, aligning with Intuit's mission of powering prosperity around the world.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations.
• Provide tax advice and full-service business return preparation and signature.
• Assist customers with product/software inquiries and tax calculations.
• File tax extensions as needed.
• Create high-quality customer interactions that instill confidence.
• Document customer interactions and maintain records.
• Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients/customers per season.
• Active unrestricted credential: EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney.
• Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with a minimum of 30 tax returns per tax year.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Proficient with technology and solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
• Strong customer service skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation.
• Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers.
• Working knowledge of Circular 230.
