About the position

The position at Intuit involves providing expert guidance and tax preparation services to customers, specifically focusing on business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. The role is integral to advancing Intuit's mission of 'Powering Prosperity Around the World' and includes shaping the direction of TurboTax Live Business. The successful candidate will leverage their business tax preparation experience and knowledge of tax laws to assist customers in completing their taxes using Intuit TurboTax Business products.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations.
• Provide tax advice and full-service business return preparation and signature.
• Assist customers with product/software inquiries and tax calculations.
• File tax extensions as needed.
• Create high-quality customer interactions that instill confidence.
• Utilize government websites and professional resources to deliver accurate answers to customers.
• Document customer interactions and maintain records.
• Work towards meeting company key performance metrics and goals.
• Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations.

Requirements

• Strong business tax preparation experience with 3 or more years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients/customers per season.
• Active unrestricted credential: EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney.
• Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with a minimum of 30 tax returns per tax year.
• Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation is strongly preferred.
• Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers is strongly preferred.
• Possess or be able to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
• Commit to a minimum schedule of at least 20 hours/week throughout the tax season.
• Working knowledge of Circular 230.
• Proficient with technology and solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with customers through video and audio tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking, problem solving, research skills, and determination.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

• Experience in a tax practice or retail setting for compensation.
