About the position

The Business Tax Associate at Intuit is a remote, seasonal position focused on providing expert guidance and tax preparation services to customers. The role involves managing complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations, while also contributing to the development of TurboTax Live Business. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws to assist customers in completing their taxes effectively, ensuring a high-quality customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations.
• Provide expert guidance and tax preparation services to customers using TurboTax Business products.
• Assist customers with tax advice, full-service business return preparation, and filing tax extensions.
• Create high-quality customer interactions that instill confidence and demonstrate deep customer empathy.
• Utilize government websites and professional resources to deliver accurate answers to customer inquiries.
• Document customer interactions and work towards meeting company key performance metrics.

Requirements

• 3+ years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients/customers per season.
• Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 tax returns per tax year.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations for business and personal tax returns.
• Proficient with technology and solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
• Strong customer service skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-haves

• Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation.
• Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers.
• Possession of any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
