About the position

The position at Intuit involves providing expert guidance and tax preparation services to customers, specifically focusing on business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. The role is integral to advancing Intuit's mission of Powering Prosperity Around the World, and it offers the opportunity to shape the direction of TurboTax Live Business. The successful candidate will leverage their business tax preparation experience and knowledge of tax laws to assist customers in completing their taxes using Intuit's TurboTax Business products.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations.
  • Provide expert guidance and explanations of tax and technical terms to customers.
  • Assist TurboTax Business customers with tax advice and full-service business return preparation.
  • Utilize video communications software to interact with customers professionally.
  • Document customer interactions and ensure high-quality customer experiences.
  • Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed.
  • Work continuously toward meeting company key performance metrics and goals.

Requirements

  • Strong business tax preparation experience with 3 or more years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S).
  • Active unrestricted credential: EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney.
  • Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 tax returns per tax year.
  • Bookkeeping experience related to tax preparation is preferred.
  • Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers is preferred.
  • Possess or be able to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
  • Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
  • Commit to a minimum schedule of at least 20 hours/week throughout the tax season.
  • Working knowledge of Circular 230.
  • Proficient with technology and solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
  • Strong customer service skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, research skills, and determination.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a tax practice or retail setting for compensation.
  • Experience with commercial tax preparation software.
