About the position

The position at Intuit involves providing expert guidance and tax preparation services to customers, specifically focusing on business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. The role is integral to advancing Intuit's mission of Powering Prosperity Around the World, and it offers the opportunity to shape the direction of TurboTax Live Business. The successful candidate will leverage their extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations to assist customers in completing their taxes using Intuit TurboTax Business products, while ensuring high-quality customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance and tax preparation for business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for Partnerships and S Corporations.
• Assist TurboTax Business customers with tax advice, full-service business return preparation, and filing tax extensions.
• Utilize video communications software to interact with customers professionally and confidently.
• Document customer interactions and ensure high-quality customer experiences.
• Meet company key performance metrics and participate in pilot testing and projects as needed.

Requirements

• Strong business tax preparation experience with at least 3 years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns for at least 20 clients per season.
• Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 tax returns per year.
• Commitment to a minimum schedule of at least 20 hours/week during the tax season.
• Bookkeeping experience related to tax preparation is preferred.
• Possession of an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) and ability to obtain any related state licenses or permits.
• Proficient with technology and solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
• Strong customer service skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and research skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers.
• Knowledge of Circular 230.
