About the position
The Business Technology Solutions Manager at ZS is responsible for managing IT projects that define project scope and strategies, analyze business issues, and develop IT project strategies. This role involves ensuring high-quality project deliverables are completed on time and within budget, utilizing expertise in various reporting and database management technologies. The manager will lead projects from initiation to completion, communicate with clients and team members, and oversee a team of 5-10 employees.
Responsibilities
- Manage IT projects by defining project scope and strategies.
- Analyze and understand business issues to develop IT project strategies.
- Ensure high-quality project deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
- Lead project management from initiation to completion, including client communication.
- Create deliverables and communicate findings using BI solution designs and implementations.
- Manage a team of 5-10 employees on a project basis, including Consultants and Associates.
- Participate in Requests for Proposals to manage future projects.
- Perform additional IT project activities including project planning, scoping, and quality assurance.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or related field.
- Four years of experience in technology solution delivery engagements/projects.
- Experience with front-end user reporting tools such as MSTR, Business Objects, or Cognos.
- Experience with back-end database management including Oracle or Teradata.
- Experience with ETL interfacing technologies such as Informatica or SSIS.
- Experience in BI solution design and implementation using technologies like Microstrategy, QlikView, Cognos, Oracle, Informatica, or SSIS.
- Team or project management experience.
