About the position

The Business Unit Director at Jabil is responsible for developing and implementing programs and processes for assigned customer accounts, strategically managing customer relationships, and achieving revenue growth. This role involves extensive interaction with senior-level customers, contract negotiation, and oversight of operational performance metrics. The director will lead a team to ensure compliance with service level agreements and drive continuous improvement in customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement programs, projects, or processes for assigned customer accounts.
  • Manage the customer relationship road map strategically.
  • Negotiate contract terms and amend established contracts and SLAs with customers.
  • Define the Business Unit organization structure and staff appropriately.
  • Own the execution of operational SLA delivery and escalations.
  • Manage the performance, development, and rewards for direct reports.
  • Drive the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process with assigned customer accounts.
  • Assume leadership in site-level strategic planning meetings.
  • Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for assigned customer accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred in Engineering, Finance/Accounting, or Business Management.
  • 8 to 10 years of work-related experience, preferably in Financial or Manufacturing Operations fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience required.
  • Strong financial skills and knowledge of balance sheets and income statements.
  • Advanced contract and negotiation knowledge/experience at a strategic level.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong customer service experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Nice-to-haves

  • Significant previous Business Unit Manager experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments.
