About the position

At Regions, the Business Unit Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in administering defined procedures, preparing and analyzing reports, and working on projects with a strong emphasis on process improvement. This position is designed for individuals who are focused on results and dedicated to quality, strength, and integrity. The analyst will analyze business issues and make recommendations aimed at maximizing operational efficiency and quality while ensuring compliance with established standards. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying trends and opportunities for process improvement, which is essential for the overall success of the business unit. The Business Unit Operations Analyst will work closely with managers to apply data to business goals and analytical requirements, which may include capacity planning, volume forecasting, and unit costing. This position also involves contributing to workflow or process changes and redesigns, necessitating a strong understanding of the specific products or processes involved. The analyst will be responsible for creating and maintaining policies, procedures, and training materials that enhance efficiency and customer service. Additionally, the role includes defining user requirements and assisting with user acceptance testing as needed. The analyst will manage small projects and contribute to task forces or project teams, taking accountability for regular reporting or process administration. Working under limited to moderate supervision, the analyst will analyze and solve moderately complex operational, systems-related, and customer issues. This position also offers the opportunity to provide advice and guidance to junior analysts, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. It is important to note that this position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and interprets data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience
  • Or High School Diploma or GED and seven (7) years of related experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of business intelligence (BI) tools
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts
  • Knowledge of business unit and operations areas
  • Experience with subordinations, perfection, and continuations, and familiarity with UCC (Uniform Commercial Code)
