The Emerging Payments Risk Manager at Hancock Whitney is tasked with providing a comprehensive and diverse range of risk management expertise for services and payment processes associated with the bank's credit cards, debit cards, commercial cards, and ATM businesses. This role is pivotal in developing, managing, and monitoring controls and processes to ensure adherence to both internal and external governance and audit standards. This includes compliance with network association rules such as those from Visa and MasterCard, as well as regulatory frameworks like Reg E, UDAAP, GLBA, ECOA, and CFPB. The Risk Manager will also investigate, create, and implement risk mitigation strategies and policies for the array of Emerging Payments services, utilizing data, advanced analytics, key risk indicators, and business intelligence tools. In this position, the Risk Manager will apply strategies in collaboration with product development and management teams, as well as bank credit and operational leadership, to ensure sustainable customer service levels and enhance revenue. The role requires a subject matter expert who can develop, manage, and modify risk systems, tools, processes, and strategies to combat existing and emerging threats while optimizing revenues and client experience. The Risk Manager will also direct evaluations of new and revised management systems, process improvements, products, procedures, and methodologies to continuously improve operational effectiveness and quality. Additionally, the Risk Manager will be responsible for developing, documenting, implementing, and monitoring key risk indicators, risk management standards, policies, procedures, and processes, all while utilizing contemporary industry risk management standards and best practices. Regular preparation of forecasts, budgets, financial reports, business cases, and proposals pertaining to risk management will be essential, indicating a continual evaluation of business unit performance and trend analysis for senior management. The role also involves aligning with Credit and Enterprise Fraud Management teams for critical risk management system integration and strategy development, as well as overseeing third-party vendor adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
