About the position
As a Busser at Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers, you will play a crucial role in ensuring guest satisfaction by maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in the restaurant. This position requires a passion for exceptional customer service and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Clearing and resetting tables promptly and efficiently to provide a clean and welcoming dining area for guests.
- Assisting in dishwashing duties, including sorting, stacking, and ensuring clean dishes, glassware, and utensils are readily available for use.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including floors, counters, and equipment, and regularly sanitizing surfaces to meet health and safety standards.
- Collaborating with the serving staff to deliver exceptional service by providing support as needed, such as refilling beverages and delivering food orders.
- Cooperating with team members to create a positive work environment and ensure smooth operations.
- Offering friendly and attentive service to guests, responding to inquiries, and assisting with any special requests they may have.
- Developing a good understanding of the menu items and ingredients to provide accurate information and make appropriate recommendations to guests.
- Assisting in stocking supplies, such as napkins, condiments, and utensils, to ensure availability during service hours.
- Assisting other team members, including servers and hosts, when necessary to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.
- Following company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for providing excellent customer service.
- Keen eye for cleanliness and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team setting, assisting and supporting colleagues as needed.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of the business.
- Excellent verbal communication skills to interact with guests and team members effectively.
- Must have a valid Food Handlers Certification.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior experience as a Busser or in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred but not required.
