About the position
The Busser / Service Assistant at P.F. Chang's is a part-time role focused on supporting restaurant operations, including cleaning, running food, and assisting with catering orders. The position emphasizes exceptional customer service and teamwork to enhance the dining experience for guests.
Responsibilities
- Guide guests through their experience while taking, placing, and reviewing orders for takeout and catering.
- Understand the restaurant menu to identify different menu items for takeout and catering, and guide guests in choosing menu items.
- Review orders with the guest and/or delivery driver to ensure order accuracy.
- Deliver an amazing hospitality experience to guests by anticipating, delivering, and exceeding their expectations.
- Clear, clean, and sanitize restaurant tables, bussing dishes to the kitchen dishwasher station and resetting tables as needed.
- Remove bus tubs from the bar to the kitchen dishwasher station.
- Restock, clean, and maintain all restaurant stations.
- Understand the restaurant seating layout and how to deliver food within the restaurant.
- Serve food or beverages for dine-in and takeout.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills and etiquette.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment, including the coffee machine, iced tea machine, lemon slicer, and point of sale (POS) system.
- Ability to execute proper sanitation practices and safety procedures.
- Must have a current Food Handler's Card or be willing to obtain one.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
