About the position

The Surfing Fox, located in The Pierside Hotel, is seeking a Busser to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for guests by clearing tables, resetting them for new customers, and assisting waitstaff. The position emphasizes creativity and passion in service, aligning with the restaurant's focus on California cuisine and a vibrant atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Clears all used tableware, napkins, and refuse from tables to tubs in the bus station.
• Wipes tables, chairs, and clears debris and crumbs from floor areas surrounding tables.
• Resets tables in accordance with established standards to seat new customers quickly.
• Removes full tubs from bus stations to the dishwashing area for cleaning.
• Maintains a clean, well-stocked, and orderly bus station at all times.
• Retrieves cleaned dishes, glassware, and utensils from the dish room and distributes them to each service station.
• Sweeps restaurant floors throughout the shift to maintain cleanliness.
• Retrieves requisitioned items from the stockroom and stocks supplies in proper places, rotating stock.
• Assists waitstaff by refilling customers' beverages and accommodating requests for additional condiments or clean tableware.
• Keeps ice stations filled by carrying buckets of ice from the main ice machine.
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Must have basic knowledge of restaurant operations.
