About the position

The Busser, Runner, or Service Assistant is responsible for supporting restaurant operations by ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for guests, assisting with food delivery, and providing exceptional customer service. This role involves both dine-in and takeout services, with a focus on enhancing the guest experience through attentive service and efficient table management.

Responsibilities

• Guiding guests through their experience while taking, placing, and reviewing orders for takeout and catering.
• Understanding the restaurant menu to identify different menu items for takeout and catering, and guiding guests in their choices.
• Reviewing orders with the guest or delivery driver to ensure accuracy.
• Delivering an amazing hospitality experience by anticipating and exceeding guests' expectations.
• Clearing, cleaning, and sanitizing restaurant tables, bussing dishes to the kitchen dishwasher station, and resetting tables as needed.
• Restocking, cleaning, and maintaining all restaurant stations.
• Understanding the restaurant seating layout and how to deliver food within the restaurant.
• Serving food or beverages for dine-in and takeout.

Requirements

• Previous experience is not required - training will be provided.
• Excellent customer service skills and etiquette.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment, including coffee machines, iced tea machines, and point of sale (POS) systems.
• Ability to execute proper sanitation practices and safety procedures.
• Possession of a current Food Handler's Card or willingness to obtain one.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
