About The Position

As a Butcher at Whole Foods Market, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the cutting, preparation, display, and selling of meat products. You will also prepare specialty meat merchandise, including sausages and oven-ready products, while ensuring that all products meet Whole Foods Market's quality standards. Maintaining a clean and sanitary working environment is crucial, as is monitoring and assisting in preventing spoilage. You will have the opportunity to mentor and support meat cutter trainees, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles. In addition to these tasks, you will be responsible for maximizing sales potential through effective procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising products. Providing excellent customer service is paramount, and you will be expected to address customer needs promptly and effectively, utilizing suggestive selling techniques. You will also be responsible for performing opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned, ensuring the accuracy of signs and pricing, and reporting any safety hazards or violations immediately.
