About the position

The Buy-side Analyst position at Intrepid Investment Bankers is designed for motivated individuals looking to contribute to client engagements and leadership initiatives within a specialty investment bank. The role focuses on supporting the Buy-side Advisory Team by qualifying potential targets through qualitative research, utilizing both publicly available and proprietary information. This position offers exposure to both buy-side and sell-side strategies in a middle-market investment banking environment, fostering a culture of teamwork and transparency.

Responsibilities

• Support Intrepid bankers by qualifying potential targets through qualitative research.
• Utilize publicly available information and proprietary information services to identify desirable target companies.
• Understand the criteria for target companies based on products, markets, and sales channels.
• Assist in the design and preparation of marketing, client, and deal-specific materials and reports for projects.

Requirements

• Strong academic credentials with a 4-year college degree.
• One year of work experience in a business development capacity, preferably in the financial services industry.
• Experience interfacing with C-Suite executives.
• Process-oriented and disciplined, ideally with experience using CRMs for lead development and prospecting.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in workmanship.
• Significant maturity and ability to work as part of a team.
• Self-starter willing to work in an entrepreneurial, demanding, and fast-paced environment.
