About the position

The Buy Side Equity Research Analyst will join Silvercrest's Growth Equity Team in Milwaukee, focusing on the Industrial Sector. This role involves conducting in-depth research to support the team's investment strategies, proposing stock investments, and collaborating with portfolio management teams. The Analyst will have opportunities for professional growth, aiming to advance to a Sector lead and Senior Analyst position.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in the Industrial Sector to support Growth Equity portfolios.
• Propose common stock investments for inclusion in portfolios.
• Interact directly with portfolio management teams.
• Develop relationships with senior management of existing and potential holdings.
• Attend investment and trade conferences and visit companies onsite as needed.
• Collaborate with other sector analysts and maintain interaction with sell-side analysts.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years equity research experience on buy-side or sell-side.
• Industrial Sector experience is preferred.
• CFA designation or enrollment in the CFA curriculum preferred.
• Comfort covering industrial stocks across the entire small to large capitalization spectrum.
• Ability to perform fundamental, bottom-up equity research and valuation analysis.
• Passion for Growth investing and intellectual curiosity.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and succinctly.
• Self-starter with excellent time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with small to large market capitalizations in the Industrial Sector.
• Proven track record of generating alpha for portfolios.
