About the position

As a Buyer, Demand Planner, and Inventory Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing the purchasing and inventory processes for our company. This position offers a starting salary of $62,000, along with comprehensive company-sponsored benefits. You will receive complete training to ensure you are well-equipped to handle the responsibilities of the role. Your primary duties will include evaluating customer demand patterns, analyzing inventory stock levels, and identifying any shortages or overages in inventory. You will determine the appropriate replenishment actions based on historical sales data and forecasts, guiding your purchasing decisions effectively. In this role, you will communicate with both domestic and overseas suppliers via phone and email, reviewing supplier price quotes and facilitating the supplier selection process. Negotiating product quantities, pricing, and lead times with suppliers will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will procuring materials from selected Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). You will also generate customer price quotes and liaise with internal departments to drive business operations forward. Continuous improvement efforts will be encouraged, and you will perform other duties as assigned to support the overall goals of the organization. The ideal candidate for this position will have at least two years of experience in Purchasing, Buying, or Procurement, along with experience in Inventory Planning and/or Demand Planning. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel at an intermediate to advanced level is essential. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, while a Bachelor's degree and experience with fastener purchasing or overseas suppliers will be considered advantageous. This position is based in Woodridge, IL, and requires in-person attendance, working Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of Purchasing / Buying / Procurement experience
  • Inventory Planning and/or Demand Planning experience
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • A High School Diploma or Similar
