About the position

The Buyer II - Procurement Specialist is responsible for planning, performing, and administering purchasing activities to ensure that all assigned projects are delivered within required delivery, quality, compliance, and process parameters. This role involves conducting procurement activities, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The Buyer II will also take an active leadership role in assigned projects and develop visual reporting mechanisms using Excel to communicate effectively with management.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, perform, and administer purchasing activities for assigned projects.
  • Conduct and document procurement activities and negotiations.
  • Maintain ongoing interface with various departments to ensure project completion and timelines are met.
  • Monitor open order requests and take corrective action as needed.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for end users and lead resolution on system projects.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, and stakeholders for efficient procurement.
  • Provide training and support to staff on eProcurement systems.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in purchasing or a related area.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Ariba, or Coupa.
