About the position

The Buyer position is an on site position located at our Dayton Hospice House In Patient facility. This is a Full-Time position, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. We provide superior care and superior services to patients at their end of life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed.

Responsibilities

• Identifies varied sources of commodities and services.
• Evaluates bids and awards contracts and purchase orders.
• Develops standards for new products or services.
• Maintains contact with vendors.
• Maintains comprehensive descriptions of available products and current prices.
• Ensures all patients, families and staff receive the highest quality of service, support and delivery of supplies to support superior patient care.

Requirements

• Associate degree (A.A. or A.S.) or bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) preferred.
• Experience in the purchasing or procurement areas of a large public or private agency; or equivalent combination of education and experience in purchasing or procurement areas.
• Computer skills sufficient to properly document services, communicate effectively, and maintain purchasing/inventory control systems.
• Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record.
• State Minimum Automobile Insurance Coverage.
